As Missouri forges ahead to finish the first decade of the new millennium, we invite you to join us to share your accomplishments and ideas at the Twelfth Missouri GIS Conference. The focus of this conference is ‘Building Statewide MO-mentum’, and with recent accomplishments in the geospatial community and your participation, we will do just that.
Geospatial technology, including ‘geographic information systems’ (GIS), describes a toolset widely used for analysis, planning, and decision support based on the geographic location of your data. The toolset utilizes GIS, global positioning systems (GPS), and imagery to identify and provide context for parcels, watersheds, city blocks, buildings, infrastructure and roads.
The Missouri GIS Conference provides the perfect opportunity to network with other GIS professionals, discuss advances in geographic data and techniques, and share best practices and accomplishments with your colleagues. This conference is for GIS users of all experience levels, there’s something for everyone. Come learn how GIS positively impacts local governments, federal initiatives, public safety/emergency response/homeland security activities, addressing, planning, transportation, utilities, education, and more. In addition, if you are looking for great training opportunities at an affordable price, sign up for one of the many cost effective workshops. You will also have the chance to explore the poster showcase and vendor area where you can find the latest in emerging GIS technologies and their most notable uses in Missouri.
