Imagery for the Nation Letter of Support Vote

Quick review of current proposal as it would affect Missouri. Discussion. Motion from David Drum to endorse proposal and then identify opportunities for improvement. Tony Spicci pointed out that the proposal is finalized. Motion withdrawn. Animated discussion. Motion from Jeff Schloss not to endorse the proposal. Seconded by Kevin Kuhlmann. Discussion. Call to question. Motion withdrawn. Motion from Steve Marsh to endorse the proposal with the qualification that Missouri receive statewide leaf-off imagery. Seconded by Jim LaScala. Friendly amendment from Tony Spicci to endorse the proposal and charge the GIO to work with NSGIC technical committee on the leaf-off issue. Friendly amendment declined. Discussion. Call to question. Motion restated: MGISAC endorses Imagery for the Nation. Missouri would like to be considered part of the Eastern states. [States east of the Mississippi receive leaf-off imagery.] Approved by vote.

MAGIC Symposium Grant Update

Six grant applications submitted and sent on to MAGIC.

Report from State Agency GIS Forum

Discussed ESRI statewide license proposal; individual agencies are verifying license numbers to compare against the proposal.

Spatial data accuracy standard coming soon, location data element. Geocoding effort not complete.

Met February 9. First regional mini-conference will be held in Northwest (Cameron) Missouri in May. Subcommittee will meet after (or during) lunch.

Meeting today. Hoping for approval of work plan in April. Jeff Falter asked for a tangible proposal for restructuring subcommittees. Discussion. Informal show of hands in support of restructuring subcommittees. Will go to Jeff Falter for approval. Subcommittee chairs please submit a short statement about the purpose of your subcommittee. Jeff Schloss would like to know if the Grants subcommittee is being created so that grants goals in Data Development and Data Policy and Legislation can move.

Work Plan and Mission and Vision statements are out of draft. Mini-conference shaping up. May 9, 10, 16, or 17. New brochure passed around for comment. Visited Tri-Lakes GIS User Group. Visited St. Louis ?.
