Nominations
Several people are up for renomination; that list will go to CIO. Tim H: are we doing anything to recruit new groups, for example the Corps of Engineers? Perhaps we could brainstorm some time. Tony S: would be good to pull in those people for strategic planning. Tim H: send out a call for new groups. Discussion. Debbie B: Eric Maness can no longer participate; how do we remove them from membership? Dan R: letter or other notice to me.
State GIO Report—Tony Spicci
Have GIS folks in EOC; looking for volunteers but in stand-by mode. May need folks Friday and Saturday, maybe Sunday. Jason Ebersole, Paul Reichert, Renee Robinson have been out there; Tim H and company are providing maps. Discussion. Have had extensive talks with TeleAtlas and NavTech about data services. There are a number of agencies using geocoding and centerline services. Would like to pull together into a single contract. TeleAtlas would be the logical vendor. Lots of options. Discussion. Will be discussed in Data Development subcommittee 5/30 at MDC at 10am. Will also discuss LIDAR for the state. Discussion. Steve M: cannot lose sight of need for survey control. DOQ data capture done; area triangulation taking place; QA/QC to follow. 08 taking shape, hinging on decisions from MARC. Liz C: MO NAIP 1m this summer. Not really a good thing. Tony S: Color IR buy-up of 07 IftS will be available from Surdex. Tim H: have we made any progress in switching MO from a western state to an eastern state in the IftN program? Tony S: we haven't; will have to address in funding. Discussion. Digital Government Summit next month. Looking for someone in government who has done good work in digital maps. Will talk about GIS Day at the Capitol later. Rep. Sutherland did not introduce any legislation this session. He wants to use the summer to draft legislation.

Regional workshop very successful, 53 attended. Good presentations and well received.

Mark D: need to create a variety of presentations that can meet a local region's needs. Survey will go out soon. Both Southeast and Southwest have volunteered to host the next regional. GIS Day at the Capitol: David D: rundown of arrangements. Tony S: rundown of conversation with Rep. Sutherland. Suggesting we have food in the afternoon; that we contract with Jamie to provide food service (lunch for booth staff and afternoon food for legislators); Surdex and ESRI have agreed to help with costs. Jamie: mention of breakfast costs; $8/person for box lunch; Central Dairy small sundae $1.50 large $2.00 plus toppings, soda, water. About $688 for afternoon. Jamie's management fee is $985 assuming all three meals. Discussion. Motion from Steve M, Jim L food not to exceed $2000. Approved by vote of members at meeting and those who responded to a call via email.
