Announcements/Executive Activity

Treasurer info: Liz C: Consulted with atty. If funds are at MU, we are under their umbrella for taxes, liability, etc. If we start an account at a private bank, we are open to all tax and liability issues. Instituting a Treasurer would not put us in any compromised position.

By-laws

Nominations

Nominations for Treasurer position, pending its addition in the bylaws, remains open. Have not heard back from CIO about pending nominations.

State GIO Report—Tim Haithcoat

Review team for West RFP, hope to have results in two weeks.

Subcommittee Reports

Data Development—Ray Fox/Jeff Schloss

Have updated web site, imagery all in by end of month.

Funding & Grants—Pam Kelrick

Mark D: CAP grant in with USGS, will find out in next six weeks. Park Service grant for battlefields.

Homeland Security/Emergency Management—Tim Haithcoat

Briefed directors on initiatives, working with regional councils. Placing servers at SDC and MU. Inauguration planning for 2009. No one with GIS background currently on committee; trying to add someone.

Local Government Group—Greg Resz

Outreach & Education—Mark Duewell/David Drum

Bootheel meeting progressing. Registrations starting to come in, 13 so far. GIS Day at the Capitol is March 31. Any questions, talk to David D.

Strategic Planning—Liz Cook

Eric Foster willing to chair Strategic Planning subcommittee.
