Treasurer's Report
No expenditures in June. Balance of $13,058.52. Outstanding approval for $100 for break food at LiDAR workshop. Pending NSGIC dues from CIO's budget. Steve M has asked for a Finance subcommittee to be formed; looking for two or three people. Mark D and Arnold W volunteered. Jeff S: did we find out any more about the phone bridge costs? Liz C: no. Discussion about whether or not to build operational costs into budget. Eric F: MoDOT has phone bridge capabilities at no cost.

Strategic Plan: Mapping Missouri's Future
Motion from Ray F to approve strategic plan. Seconded by Pam K. Jeff S: is there a need to approve it today? Am expecting comments from others at DNR. John Teale: ditto. Discussion. Liz C: who is this document a strategy for? Jeff S: I don't see that there are any measurable goals. Ray F: suggest bringing in other groups for tactical planning. Discussion. Call to question. Motion approved by vote; nays: Jeff, Renee, Tracy.
Subcommittee Reports
Data Development—Ray Fox/Jeff Schloss
Did not meet in July. Plan to meet at the regular time in August. Also planning a LiDAR meeting in August for interested parties.
Funding & Grants—Pam Kelrick, Tony Spicci, Mark Duewell
The 50 States Grant is coming to a close. Tim H: GIS will be on the next SEMA Office of Homeland Security tour. This creates an opportunity for counties to get some GIS funds. Mark D: both Tony and I are MAGIC officers for the next term. Pam K: MAGIC approved $3,000 and USGS contributed $5,000 for the Rural GIS Summit. Event will be rescheduled in the spring.
Homeland Security/Emergency Management—Debbie Briedwell
Met Tuesday; minutes will be posted. Discussed Project Homeland; time with ESRI is short. Nathan and I will be presenting at the ESRI UC. Discussed flooding and GIS. Ray will schedule a lessons-learned meeting with other states in late July. Plan to present Project Homeland to this group in September. Ray F: other states who were not directly affected are also interested.
Local Government Group—Mark Allen

Outreach & Education—Mark Duewell
Northeast Regional Workshop is again being discussed due to Rural Workshop being moved to the spring. Expecting a September/October date. Have had lots of interest for more regional workshops. Will have a proposal in August. Ray F: could this become a workshop at MOGIS? Mark D: talk to the presenters.
Strategic Planning—Eric Foster
Changing subcommittee name, but not sure what. Will assist in drafting business plans. Will continue to maintain the Work Plan. The Annual Report will be taken from meeting minutes.

Fourth quarter report out very soon. Wenbo Song receiving compliments for his work on flood imagery.
Missouri GIS Conference—Tony Spicci
Ray F: Have a draft of workshops' schedule [handout]. Will have a pre-pre-conference workshop for absolute beginners to GIS (thanks, ESRI). Laptops will be provided by MOREnet (thanks, David).

Ray F: sat in on Terrago GeoPDF presentation, Missouri was well represented
Arnold W: St. Louis pilot of statewide virtual network for GPS is up and calibrating. Kansas City is next, followed by Springfield. Talk to George Kopp at 573-751-7886.
